Knots only not bigger than a quarter of dollar.
Black knots should not be any larger than 0.95 in (24.26mm) in diameter, raughly a size of a quarter. There should be no knots on any of the fingers, and frame support. Minor cracks are unobjectionable as long as the knot is still solid.  Knots are acceptable in the hand hold, as long as it's not in the thinner part of the hand hold.

All assembled bee hive are available in different sizes such as:

  • 10Frame 9 5/8” (24.45cm)
  • 10 Frame 7 5/8” (19.34cm)
  • 10 Frame 6 5/8” (16.83cm)
  • 8 Frame 9 5/8 (24.45cm)
  • 8 Frame 7 5/8 (19.34cm)
  • 8 Frame 6 5/8 (16.83cm

Select Bee Hives

 

Only clean wood acceptable for select boxes. No black or white knots. No knots of any kind.
